2020 Ford F-150 XL MPG and Fuel Economy

For those looking for a large, robust, and capable full-size pickup truck that has a modern twist, the 2020 Ford F-150 is a great option. You will find that while it boasts a rough and sturdy appearance, it offers a wide range of technology and luxury features. It also provides impressive towing and hauling capacities.

Like any pickup truck, the 2020 Ford F-150 can be customized to your needs, and much of its appeal comes from this versatility. The vehicle comes in three different cab styles, which are Regular, SuperCab (extended), and SuperCrew (crew cab). Depending on the cab style, three-bed lengths are available.

Ford F-150 is available in six primary trim levels, which are the Base XL, XLT, Lariat, King Ranch, Platinum, and Limited. For those who wish to focus on off-roading, the Raptor variant is also available.

If you are looking for a decent powertrain that comes with all the necessary standard features, the entry-level XL should be the right choice for you. The XL is coupled with a 3.3-liter V6 paired to a six-speed automatic transmission capable of delivering 290 horsepower.

Other features of the standard XL trim include a four-speaker stereo, vinyl flooring, Bluetooth and USB connectivity, and trailer sway control and pre-wired trailer connections. This model is a great option if you are in search of a model built as a no-nonsense truck.

MPG and fuel Economy

The 2020 Ford F-150 XL has decent MPG and fuel economy, too, although not the most efficient. Among the models, the rear-drive, diesel-powered pickup is the most efficient, according to the EPA. It boasts 30 mpg on the highway, 22 mpg in the city, and 25 mpg combined. On the other hand, the four-wheel-drive version of the F-150 has 25 mpg (highway), 20 mpg (city), and 22 mpg (combined).

The Ford F-150 XL may not come adorned with an extensive assortment of fancy features, but it is capable of delivering exactly what you would expect from a functional truck – a reliable powertrain and satisfactory fuel efficiency.
