All You Need to Know About the Ford Edge Fuel Economy

The 2020 Ford Edge hit the market with not many changes from the 2019 variant, and the general level lineup unaltered, beginning with the base Edge SE, trailed by the SEL and Titanium, and the Edge ST at the top. Before you get your hands on any of the models, learn more about the Ford Edge’s fuel economy below. Here's a list of features including the fuel economy of the Edge lineup that should give you enough reasons to get one:

Ford Edge Performance

The Ford Edge offers two different engines to choose from, which will also affect the efficiency of the car. Both engines come with EcoBoost technology, which enables the Edge to stay ground-breaking and strong, but at the same time proficient and dependable.

The 2020 Edge lineup, excluding the ST, still has a turbocharged 2.0-liter 4-cylinder engine creating 250 horsepower @ 5,500 rpm like its predecessor. It is accompanied by a fuel-efficient programmed stop/start feature. The ST also has the same engine as the ST variant of the 2019 Ford Edge, a twin-turbocharged 2.7-liter V6 creating 335 horsepower @ 4,750 rpm.

Both engines associate with an 8-speed automatic transmission with paddle shifters mounted behind the steering wheel on the ST variant. Blending the above elements, the non-ST models can be launched to 60 mph in around 8 seconds while the Edge ST asserts a 0-60 mph time less than 6 seconds.

Ford Edge Fuel Economy
In the case of SE, SEL, Titanium, the front-wheel-drive (FWD) is standard and the all-wheel-drive (AWD) is discretionary while AWD is standard on the Ford Edge ST. The FWD Ford Edge mpg manages at 21/29 and combined 24 city/hwy, and the AWD runs at a similar mpg of 21/28 and combined 23 city/hwy.

Despite its higher horsepower, the Edge ST features a lower fuel economy at 19/26 mpg and combined 21 mpg (city/hwy). All models run on regular gasoline with annual fuel costs ranging from $1,500 to $1,750.

With that sort of efficiency, you will have a great deal of time between stops. Along with other amazing capabilities, reasonable fuel efficiency should help in your decision to buy one.
