The highest output is 430 horsepower and 570 lb-ft of torque.

The Toyota Tundra only offers a 5.7L V8 engine that gets 381 horsepower and 401 lb-ft of torque.

You also have the option to choose a hybrid engine or a diesel engine with the Ford F-150. The hybrid motor allows you to get an EPA-estimated 25 city/26 highway MPG. Unfortunately, the Toyota Tundra only gets an EPA-estimated 13 city/18 highway MPG with the standard engine.

The Ford F-150 is one of the leaders in this area. When properly equipped, you can tow a maximum of 14,000 pounds with the Ford F-150. The Toyota Tundra can only tow a maximum of 10,200 pounds. The 2021 Ford F-150 also makes towing easier with the available Pro Trailer Backup Assist™. This technology allows you to sync up your truck and trailer to control the direction it turns in reverse with the turn of a dial. This is an exclusive feature on the Ford F-150 and not available on the Toyota Tundra.

Ford F-150 vs Toyota Tundra: Safety Technology

In your truck, you can never be too safe and protected. This is why both the Ford F-150 and Toyota Tundra come equipped with several safety technology features. These features include Pre-Collision Assist with Automatic Emergency Braking, Blind Spot Information System®, Lane-Keeping System, and Auto High-Beam Headlamps.

However, the Ford F-150 stands out with additional safety technology features like the available Active Park Assist 2.0. This system steers your truck into parking spots, making it easier to parallel park. This is a feature not available on the Toyota Tundra.
